Vehicle Damage Assessor Motorcycles

Salary:
£28,000 - £38,000 basic + overtime + performance bonus, OTE £48,000

Your primary role is to produce accurate motorcycle damage estimates for both your customers and colleagues. Our vehicle damage assessors covers every type of motorcycle there is from Ducati’s, Harley Davidson, Suzukis, Hondas and many more. You may be a specialist in one or have experience in many, we will be able to define a role for you.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Establish and agree with a customer the circumstances for and damage related to their claim.
  2. Identify the parts requiring repair or replacement along with their cost and availability through our database system.
  3. Make early identification of ‘total losses’, where costs would exceed the given repair threshold.
  4. Identify where it is appropriate to have safety critical components such as frames, forks, wheels, etc. measured or tested.
  5. Carry out a visual appraisal of the vehicle’s pre-accident service condition and inform the customer.
  6. Develop and maintain working relationships with insurer engineers to expedite our desired repair outcomes.
  7. Maintain working relationships with others teams involved in the repair process in order to aid the smooth progress of repairs through the business.
  8. Liaise with the specialist repair and paint team regarding the viability and cost to repair rather than replace components
  9. The following programs / applications will be used on a daily basis: Proclaim (insurance claims handling system),Advance Bodyshop & Estimating, Manufacturer EPCs, 4th Dimension ‘Estimator’ program
